ABOUT RIBCO

In 1994 Ribco was born from Stelios Ladopoulos and Nikiforos Valerianos. Their passion for perfection and their love for the sea was part of the inspiration. Their dream was to produce the best RIB boats in the market. Excellent quality in every aspect, great sea keeping characteristics combined with bulletproof construction. Numbers prove that they were right.
In June of 1999 the first 8m RIB produced by Ribco was launched in Athens, Greece, combining a revolutionary offshore hull, but with a more Mediterranean deck layout.
Since then, more than 700 Ribs have been produced by Ribco, distributed mainly in Greece but also in Australia, Monaco, England, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Turkey and other European and Eastern countries.
Both our founders are still the inspiration and the soul of the company. Last but not least every Ribco is final inspected by them in order to be in line with their high standards.
Ribco invests in research and development on the drawing board, CAD and 3D modeling as long as tests all models on the actual field – the sea – in all weather conditions and different set ups, ensuring that all minor details are being predicted before the production of the actual model, so you will enjoy thousands of faultless miles at sea with the most seaworthy, “bulletproof” constructed boats you’ve ever been on.
RRT (Ribco Racing Team) also joins major events in Greece and abroad, giving useful feedback about the construction of the boats and of course a lot of trophies!
Ribco offers probably the most complete range of ribs in the market, with different models from 30ft to 44ft, ready to fulfill even the most demanding client’s desires.
From 2010, Ribco starts exporting boats.
In 2014 the stepped hull version of Seafarer 36 was launched, in both Sterndrive and Outboard version.
In 2015, Venom 44 Open was launched, in both Sterndrive and Outboard version. Venom 44 Cabin followed the end of the same year.
In 2018, Venom 39 was launched
In 2019, Seafarer 33 was launched

Philosophy
From the very beginning of the company the philosophy was very clear. No compromise in quality, innovation, boats with maximum capabilities and satisfied customers. In order to succeed very high quality in all aspects, we build our boats from the beginning until the end in our private area. For this reason we had constructed, some years ago, our private shipyard.
We always believe that we can improve ourselves. That’s why Ribco invests in research and development on the drawing board, CAD and 3D modeling, as long as tests of all models on the actual field – the sea. As a result, our boats are very competitive in many different areas. Luxury, detail, speed, efficiency, safety and offshore capabilities are included in every single boat that exits in the Ribco shipyard.
We keep this promise, and that’s why we have satisfied customers, which also choose Ribco for their next boat too!
We know that our customers love their boats and they use them in order to have fun. Our mission is to keep them satisfied and happy!
Why it’s better to choose a RIB
Rigid Inflatable Boats are becoming more and more popular globally. They are very well known in the Mediterranean countries for many decades now, and this is not a coincidence. Their benefits surpass those of a rigid boat. The shape of the hull makes them slide through the water, even in the roughest conditions, to offer a smooth far less bumpy ride.
They don’t easily capsize. Their rigid construction makes them stable even in high speeds. They remain buoyant, even when they have taken in large amounts of water, thanks to the inflatable collars that surround the RIB. Given the fact that the tubes are separated from each other, there is no danger of sinking in case one tube malfunctions. For this reason, in many countries the majority of rescue boats are RIBs.
RIBS can be used in any and all types of water, from calm lakes to rough seas, RIBs are able to withstand and conquer natural elements. RIBCO Ribs combine those special abilities with the luxury of a yacht. Sun tents, hot water, WC, photovoltaic panels, even an espresso machine can be installed in a luxury RIB.
The ideal chase boat
Ribco Boats are perfect for multiple use. One ofthe most popular is that of a chase boat. As you leave your yacht, you are welcomed on board with great luxury and comfort. The quality of the materials is exceptional as is the attention to the smallest detail. Equipped with two double beds under the front and rear hatch, WC, electrical windscreen for extra protection, fridge and even espresso machine, will make you pleasantly surprised by the amenities.
Once on board, you already share a vacation feeling. Ribco boats are easy to handle in every aspect and makes the process of approaching a beach or even a rocky area an easy task. From a smooth and relaxing to a high performance offshore ride at very high speed, even under difficult weather conditions, still offering the feeling of safety and comfort, that no other boat of its category can provide.
These are the reasons why Ribco boats stand apart from the competition. A top-class racing limousine on the water.
Combining two worlds
Combining two different worlds is never an easy task. But in Ribco we really like challenges. For more than two decades we are developing the combination of hulls with real offshore characteristics and Mediterranean decks.
Our hulls are capable to travel under almost every condition. This means that you can feel truly safe because, even if the weather gets worse than it was expected, you will be able to arrive to your final destination safe and relaxed.
The boat’s deck has a different path of development. Spacious, luxurious, with very high quality materials, is the ideal place for sunbathing, relaxing and enjoying the contact with the sea. The level of the equipment is one of the highest in this segment, which means that you will enjoy your stay on board.
Relax, enjoy your stay on a Ribco. Even if the weather gets worst, you will be able to go back home safe and sound.
Future
Challenging times lie ahead, with the market becoming more and more competitive. Ribco will power through, developing new models and expanding its range.
We will continue dreaming big using technological advancements in the best possible way to ensure new features that will make life on board even more enjoyable. We will continue to stay loyal to our founders’ vision of designing and delivering top quality hulls safe and reliable, that cope at the highest standard through any weather condition, still offering luxury and a strong fun to drive feeling.
Next development will be a breakthrough! A Rib that will reflect our passion in the highest level. A boat bigger than the Venom 44, that will echo our 23 years of experience and set us ahead of the competition.
Testimonials
Tobias Leigh - M/Y Lady Marina
I chose Ribco because due to the setup and all the amenities, the exceptional seaworthiness and handling in every kind of sea conditions, it's speed, the amazing finish, it is overall a great product and unbeatable price. It was also recommended from other Yachts. The features that appealed to me are the amazing guest spaces and storage, bathroom, solar panels, perfect center console driving position, quality of the inflatables, the scorpion hull is amazing and the Mercury engines are irreproachable, we had a setup for someone in a wheel chair designed specifically and Ribco was amazing in its flexibility and resolve to our demands. The boat is used as a chase boat for a larger yacht - its duties include tender taxiing ( long and short distance ) main yacht maneuvers support ( mooring assistance etc. ) and recreational activities like diving ( up to 6 divers ) , spearfishing, beach hoping , day trips with up to 10 guests . We are extremely satisfied with our Ribco and highly recommend it.

Many years ago when it still was not such a known brand I decided to find the ultimate boat that will address my needs: to tour between the Greek islands fast and safe. I started to look around and inspected quite a few boats from veritable of brand makers. Eventually I bumped into a relatively small maker, Ribco. The sea trial was on 8.60 meters twin engine boat and we knew this is the boat we were looking for. We then visited the factory and were happy to meet a reliable nice owner with what seems to be a professional team. We bought the first boat and since then almost any yacht friend that came with us to one of our trips ordered a rib from Ribco (as tender). Later on ribco made the incredible 11 meters boat that is, in my eyes, the ultimate open sea machine. Not to big, still can park anywhere, it can be towed by sea and also on trailer with a car. Now we have both the 8.6 meters and the 11 meters. The 8.6 is easier to tow with a yacht (70 feet catamaran) though the 11meters can also be towed. The 11 meters has 2 beds, shower, kitchen toilet but still cruise easily at 30 knots in a rough sea. I slept in it allot of nights and its perfect. With no kids we cruise at 40. Max speed I saw on flat water was 52 knots. We go in very rough sea and safely sail even on shallow water (1 meter dept.). We are group of friends each has one rib and did tens of thousands of miles all around Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy. I am yet to find a better machine to serve our needs. In the last few years Ribco has become very popular in Greece and I see more and more similar boats. Each designs his own internal as per his needs. We use it also as Kite surf boat and the 8.60 is perfect for that.

I chose Ribco for the design and the proven seaworthiness. In addition, I had the idea of a team able to deliver a turn-key project. Also the sleek deep vee hull seems appropriate for windy areas like the Aegean Sea. Finally, the use of the Ribco is recreational both as a tender and as a blue water day cruiser.
